Usage
Explanation of how to use the script for users. Any keybinds can be changed in your settings.
1. Using the Taximeter
When entering a configured taxi, the taximeter will pop up. It shows the current price per mile/kilometer, the total price of the current drive as well as the distance of the current drive. It has a status LED at the top right corner indicating the current status. Green means the taximeter is resetted to 0 and ready for usage. Pressing left shift (or whatever key is configured) switches the Taximeter Status. Pressing it the first time switches the LED from green to yellow and starts the taximeter. Now the taximeter counts the distance you drive and shows it on the display. If you enter a new area, depending on the scripts configuration, the price might change, or the driver can change the price with a command. When you press left shift again, the Taximeter stops and switches the status to read. Now it doesn't actively count anymore but shows the result of the last drive so you can bill your customer. Pressing shift again resets the taximeters values, switches the light to green and repeats the cycle.
2. NPC Jobs
You are a Taxi driver and you are bored because you have no customers and can't make any money? Don't worry no more, just accept a job from an NPC! You can Press E (or whatever key is configured) to get the location of a random NPC customer marked on your map. Drive there and stop next to your customer. The NPC will enter your vehicle (make sure the back seat is empty). Now your destination is marked, just drive there and stop again. The NPC will get out and pay your for the ride. During this NPC call you can't control the taximeter yourself so you can't cheat. You can use /taxireset (or whatever configured) to stop the job and delete the npc in case something went wrong.
3. Taxi Calls
As a player you can also call a taxi with /calltaxi (or whatever is configured). This will send your job to all taxi drivers. The drivers can Accept the Call with E (or whatever is configured). This will mark the customers location on the drivers map and notify both. Both can cancel the call, the driver can do so by pressing E again, the customer can use the command /canceltaxi. This will notify both again.
4. Changing the taximeter hud size and position
When inside a taxi, players can change the taximeter position and size by using the /taxihud command (depends on your configuration). This will show your mouse and allow you to move the hud around by dragging the top gray bar and resize it by grabbing the corners. When you're done, just press escape. This is saved in your NUI Local Storage, meaning it is persistent over client as well as server restarts. It will reset by clearing the clients cache.
